IT.WAS.AWESOME!

Matt and I just celebrated our four year Anniversary. crazy. I know. F-O-U-R years! It was bliss though. Pure bliss I tell ya! We headed for California for four days (get it? four) and it was pretty much amazing. I used to love Vegas but after our little get away, I hate it. I want to move to California permanently and never go anywhere else. Mark my words, we are going to own a home in Newport Beach one day. That day cant come soon enough!

Our original plan was to go to Geisha House on the night of our Anniversary but we realized it was an hour and a half away so we quickly eliminated that idea. Mortons was only 5 mins away so off we went!

We love a little place called Rockin Baja and Lobster on Newport Pier. It is always packed. It offers some of the best seafood. We had a 45 min wait so we grabbed some ice cream and walked up the pier.

Summer Randoms

Hola! Como estas? Thats all I got in Spanish really.. other than the occasional "0" I tap onto the end of words to make it sound as if I am a Spanish speaker myself. I did pretend to speak Spanish once at Nordstrom though when an older Spanish lady started talking in Spanish really fast.. and all I could do was nod and say "Si" in a very convincing manner as if I knew exactly what she was talking about. She then kind of figured out that I "El Speako no Spanish" (the "o" at the end of words totally works if you ask me) but she still kept speaking in her foreign tongue. So, I kept nodding and saying "Si". I wrecked my brain trying to remember Spanish words for different colors and was successful in the following: "negro and blanco." She seemed pretty impressed if you ask me and personally, I think I was quite convincing. I actually was asked the other day if I was Mexican (I'm telling you, I think it's the ever-so-convicing "o's" that I add on to words) but I have to admit, I was a little confused. Did my blonde hair give it away? I think it was probably the height.The sweet lady on the left is our Grandma (Matt's mom's mom) and she is celebrating her Birthday today!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDMA!! We love you!!

Our Sunday walks have resumed after a two week break. Here we are about to embark on a little adventure around the hood.

This is the trail behind our house that goes on for miles. Perhaps I will jog this trail one day with a little baby in a jogger.

Our computer desk took a little longer to put together but it was well worth it. Matt did great work!

Smarty pants over here puts himself in time out on a daily basis. Nevermind the doggy door to the right that he can go in and out of anytime he pleases, he will sit by the door (as pictured) and wait for you to give him permission to enter and exit. (Matt calls it something else in many different words but I call it clever and polite. Think what you want)

We went to Utah for a day for my grandpa's funeral a couple of weeks back. Here are my parents at the cemetery.

I love my whole family and I am so grateful for all that they do. I know that we will see my grandpa soon and I am so grateful for that knowledge!

Secretly Obsessed

It is midnight on the dot and all I want to do is blog about my Spin class. My poor husband is passed out on the couch and I am a mad woman typing away..I am kind of in love...a lot. Like I look forward to Thursdays every week because I get to go to Spin at 8:30. Not because I am off on Thursdays...all day....but because I get to go to Spin. Weird right? I think so but I dont care. I am in love and I dont care who knows.

So thus I go to Spin every Thursday. It's hard core yo. Dont get me wrong..I'm no saying I'm way good and can Spin 100 miles an hour like the instructor asks, I just Spin. I spin and spin even though it feels as though my heart is going to literally pump out of my chest. I spin and spin when my side numbs up and my right knee goes limp and I look like a cripple trying to ride a bike. I spin. And I love it.

Why you may ask? I have no idea. It's not 12:08am and I am thinking about my Thursday morning Spin class and secretly wishing it was Thursday tomorrow. There are times when the instructor turns the crazy good songs so loud that it feels as though the noise is vibrating through every cell in your body and I love it. I secretly think it's the coolest thing in the world. And it makes me Spin faster. I think I am addicted. Would you agree?
